BUSINESS CENTRUM VÍCHOV
Hubený, Jakub ; Velehradská, Dagmar (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is the design of an architectural-urban study of a large area (revitalization of brownfield land/sites) on the outskirts of the village of Víchov. The building program defined partly by the investor and then by the pre-diploma project includes a residential part, a part of agricultural land, a part of public spaces, housing for owners and an industrial part. The industrial part has been designed in more detail and includes the following areas: storage/production facilities, sale of farm products in showrooms, accommodation, catering, administration and technical facilities. The aim of the work was to find an architectural solution that would be the most suitable from various contradictory points of view - such as in terms of spatial layout, from an economic point of view, in terms of the integration of the building into the structure of the village and the topography of the landscape, or in terms of the energy (in)performance of the building. The design should also be representative of an appropriate response to global warming.

The topic of the thesis is the architectural and urban design of a large area of production halls on the outskirts of the small village of Víchov. The thesis follows up on the undergraduate project, which addressed a wider area. The design included a residential area, growing areas, and a production area. The project addresses the production part of this area in more detail. In the area, a commercial and administrative building is designed, which serves to represent the area, as well as six production or storage halls. Some halls have a predetermined use but, in the future, it is possible to use them for another type of production or storage. The basic concept of the design was to divide the production part into several buildings. The division is based on the slope of the terrain. Individual buildings respond to the terrain by placing them along contour line. The buildings are designed to fit into the village as much as possible. Thanks to the existing alley of mature linden trees and the subsequent planting of other linden trees, the production area will be partially shielded from housing construction. The proposal seeks to respect Green New Deal.

This thesis deals with the architectural and urban study of a multifunctional area on the edge of a rural settlement - a small village Víchov. In the multifunctional complex, storage or production facilities, a showroom, accommodation, gastronomy and administration are designed. The diploma thesis follows up on the urban-architectural study done in a specialized studio in the previous semester, which dealt with a wider area of the same grounds.

The subject of the diploma thesis is the architectural study of the production area in the village of Víchov. The design of the study follows the pre-diploma urbanistic-architectural study solved in the last semester. The area is divided into three units. In the northern part there is a residential development, a playground, an owner‘s house and an airport runway with a hangar. In the middle part, manufacturing is proposed and in the last part there are cultivation areas. The subject of this plan is a more detailed development of the manufacturing portion. There is a proposed administrative building which houses refreshments, showrooms, agricultural equipment garage, workshop, offices and accommodation. In addition, 23 multi-purpose production / storage halls are proposed.

The topic of the thesis was to develop the production part in depth from the pre-diploma project, where we dealt with the whole parcel as an architectural-urban design. Here the whole plot was being solved with a development proposal in the upper part, the owner's house, production part and growing areas. In the thesis itself we are only dealing with the production part in more detail. There are two buildings in the production complex – the first, located closer to the entrance, is the administration building containing the management of the premises, the shop of products from the main production, the cafeteria for employees and the accommodation on the second floor. The second one is the production object located in the background – it is a single compact block that includes the entire desired program of the produce. It is a two-storey building that is embedded in the terrain from three sides and the upper part has a passable working yard in the middle. From the beginning, the basic concept was to design a complex object that would include all the required services and would respect the character of the village development, into which it should fit. There is a mature greenery on the parcel to which the design is linked and is supplemented with a new one – thanks to it the proposed objects are shielded by this “green wall” and does not act as a dominant element in the landscape. Simultaneously, it acts as a natural filter between the production and the residential zone. The proposed design is trying to respect the Green New Deal.
